I think there are lots of parallels between the Bush administration and the Sharon when it comes to their attitude towards the rest of the world. The conviction that American and Israeli lives are worth more than others. A disregard for international law fuelled by a paranoid mind-set. A religious sense of destiny. (This also is a scary factor with many Islamic fanatics) Failure to realize that being 'strong' makes you weak in the eyes of the world. Being 'militarilly superior' does not guarantee safety - and even reduces it. The war in Iraq made America less safe! 'Removing' Arafat will make Israel less viable!
